Turning change into opportunity  

The second Endress+Hauser Global Forum will take place at Messe Basel, Switzerland, from 14 to 16 April 2026. It brings together decision-makers and experts from around the world to discuss the future of the process industry. The focus is on how companies can shape the ever-present transformation taking place in such a way that they create value, increase competitiveness and enable sustainable progress.  

Transformation is no longer the exception but the norm in today’s process industry. Digitalization and artificial intelligence are changing the way we work, and the circular economy is gaining importance. At the same time, geopolitical influences, regulatory requirements and demographic change are presenting companies with challenges.

“But all these developments also open up new opportunities – for greater productivity, lower emissions and innovative business models,” says Dr Peter Selders, CEO of Endress+Hauser. 

At the event, themed ‘Driving sustainable transformation together,’ renowned thought leaders will therefore demonstrate in Inspiring Sessions how companies can identify trends and risks and turn disruption into opportunity. US economic futurist Jonathan Brill will address the anticipation of change in a volatile environment. Goutam Challagalla, Professor of Strategy and Marketing at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, explains how sustainability becomes a competitive advantage. 

Futurist Nikolas Badminton discusses the importance of circular economy principles for corporate growth and resilience. Dr Katharina Herrmann, Chief Human Resources Officer at Hubert Burda Media, speaks about building future-proof workforces. And Jennifer Zhu Scott demonstrates how artificial intelligence is evolving from a technological promise into a strategic success factor. The Hong Kong-based entrepreneur is an AI investor and CEO of the data center solutions provider Power Dynamics. 

Building on the Inspiring Sessions in the main plenary, participants can delve deeper into specific topics in numerous Insight Sessions. In these compact, practice-oriented group sessions, customer and partner companies collaborate with Endress+Hauser to present actual use cases, report on their experiences and share success factors.

Topics covered include, for example, the opportunities and pitfalls of using artificial intelligence or partnerships and technologies for industrial sustainability. 

“We want to identify what really works and delivers the greatest benefit,” says Peter Selders. “No company can overcome today’s challenges alone. Only through open dialogue and trusting partnerships can we master the existing complexity and accelerate positive change. The Global Forum is the platform for sharing ideas, sparking innovation and moving from vision to implementation.” 

The program is rounded out with factory tours in the Basel region as well as an exhibition where Endress+Hauser, together with subsidiaries and partner companies, presents new products, systems and solutions for operational efficiency and sustainability. The exhibition also includes exclusive insights into work on product innovations.
