The challenge

During biodiesel washing, impurities such as methanol and alkalis are removed. Acids neutralize the product, but monitoring the pH value is challenging due to low conductivity and high temperatures. Nevertheless, precise pH control is essential to ensure the purity and stability of the final product.

Our solution

The digital pH sensor Memosens CPS11E ensures reliable measurements in low-conductivity media using a special salt storage that stabilizes reference values. Its B-glass design withstands high temperatures, while an ion trap protects against harmful ions in biodiesel production.
